I like it, the effects are a bit overpowering though.
You might wanna try some other techniques instead of just leaving the stock blurred like that.
Darken the sides, burn, etc.

I felt it was too over contrasted. Nothing stood out for me with this piece because of that fault. As joey said put some burns an dodge to it to make the focal more pop.
The only effect I really liked was what was on the left side and almost looks like its wrapping around him, the rest of it tho just looks messy.
In other words I've seen you do better ^^
