Anyway, work mainly on your colors. I find that in the first one they are exceptionally harsh and producing a bit of ugly contrast between what I consider are naturally good colors. The effects really need to be of a better quality. Some of the wild grass vector brush looks too choppy and the lighting needs to be more soft but not so much, and also have some dark to go with it to make it more dramatic.
Then as for the second one, I like the focal and the position. Gives it an aloof feel however I feel the BG is just all over the place and nothing really fits and its random. And the text all two needs to go. I advise lookin' up at the tuts we have here.
