the image is a little LQ and scrunched a bit, good use of flow with the c4d, you used and the lighting coming down great but you need to blur the render into the background more. would be nice to see those two black spots filled up with something!
I def like what you did with his shoulders, showing action with a still is pretty wicked stet up.
The smudge is fantastic my friend and very well carried out, the black doesn't feel so dead space because of how well you carried out the smudge.
I would suggest to oyu only one thing, maybe add some cool fractal effect or bubble,roundish c4d to the smoke area to give this more of a focus :D

EDIT: I noticed one thing before i left the thread, he has his light source coming from the other side :S, maybe add a second light source as well as the original, becuase he has light infront and light to the right of him if the original one :).
