The fx look a little over-accentuated. Lose the stuff to the right of the head. Tone down the stuff on the gun(?). Try adjusting the Fill of layers instead of opacity all the time. Taking the fill down will lower the opacity of the fx without making them that dull. On the right track though, keep it up.
looks good, but the brightness of whatever the hell is on the left is too high. tone that down some and KIU!

Sorry for my noobness.. But what are the differences? The only thing I see different is the dots on the top right.. V2 has more of it..
V1 the light from the gun goes everywhere V2 the light from the gun doesn't pass his fingers and i dodged and burnt a little
