i'm not great at GFX design but here goes.

Not to bad. but a few errors.
First off, the effects look kind of cheesy IMO. Almost looks like you were trying to hard to throw the effects in. I would almost just erase them. Next, the outer glow of the planet on the left bottom side is way over done, just tone the effect down a lot :P. Another thing, the dark area how it has the outer glow thing would either be dark or light not complete dark with some random light glowing. I hope you can follow that, if you need a better explanation just ask :P. Also, on the right top side it almost looks like there is a head(?) in the black area. I have no idea what that is suppose to be, but I would just erase it. As far as the BG goes, I would try and add some other stuff like small simple planets of nebula's, or shooting stars. Its just really dull and needs more to it.

Overall its not too bad. Just keep working and you will get better :P.
