Effects are way too overpowering. The colors of them don't really coordinate with the atmosphere and render.
Try getting in some more colors in there. There seems to be too much white where the FX are.
More contrast and bring out the colors.
Once you bring out your colors more it'll look better, right now it seems too white, therefore quite unappealing.

Please, remove it. Extremely distracting and there isn't much room to add it, brings down your composition.
