thats pretty sick. I love your splatter work. my only complaint would be that little orange spot on the top right. Figuring its supposed to be the light source, just doesnt seem to fit to me.

Yeah I was going for a flare concept like when you shoot a flare our of a flair gun.

i like the idea of it being a flare, just to me it looks more like a star or something. Wouldn't a flare have a bit of a smoke trail or something?

Yeah, it was just a concept a fail one at that. Haha.
