How to actually USE C4D's?

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this; I'm pretty new, you see, so I'm not comfortable with the different forums and all.

For some time I've been struggling with the use of C4D's. I've come to the point where I've given up using them as a whole, but I think that's a shame; I see tons of awesome sigs that are made partially with the use of C4D's.

I just can't figure out what to do with them. Where to put them, should I smudge them, filters, all that. I was hoping that someone here could cure my ignorance and help a fellow user in need.

Thanks. Pretty helpful. You don't have anything similar at hand, do you? Just to get some more examples on how to use them, because I'm still pretty clueless.

this link is very usefull. It helped me a lot to understand some confusing words that I didnt understand when I started creating sign (c4d, fractal, focal etc...) and concepts.

btw do you have to second part..?

Honestly, it takes time. I think you just need to take a solid amount of time thinking about the placement of them.

Look at other tags for a few techniques and then you'll develop your own style.
C4D's take time and be patient, it'll come to you :).

Another helpful way to learn is psd's
It helps you see exactly what they did.
But remember you can not copy one layer or it is considered ripping!
