The text with the shadow doesnt work.
the other thing looks pritty cool but it would help if you told me what it is :p

its like a canopy to block out the sun

Right now it looks like a windsail on its side, with water, or something dripping from the corners.

Anyways, I don't think the vectoring going down from the shape looks right.
I think it would be a lot better to vector a few slightly lighter tones in the shape to give it more detail and a wow.

I'd remove the vectoring going down, doesn't seem right to me.
