When you make a sig, do you have to use renders, I am noticing that alot of ppl do. Like I said I am new to the sig, avatar aspect of design and would def want to do more, just not susre what to do exactly.

Ok. No you dont have to use a render. You dont have do anything with a sig then what you want to do with it. A sig cna be whatever you want it to be. No limits or rules on how to make a sig. Please keep sigs within the 500kb range.
Commonly, i use about 10-20 layers to make a sig. About 10 for a background and 10 for text/adjustments. Then 3-4 for text.
I think that renders and everything add a littlce character to a sig and that. You dont have to if you dont want to. It can just consist of a lot of brush work thats looks prettttyyyy :)
You dont even have to brush to make a sig. You could always do a photo munipulation or something else.
