Well, for my signatures I always cut out my own renders. I never save them, but I might now. :D Some I've saved before:

They're all football, but I've started to do more non-football sigs, so they might become useful.
you should try feathering the edge just a tad to get rid of the hard edges

feather in gimp i dont believe is possible.
And dont feather tbh. Its looks bad.
Oh and BTW, those are some really old renders, I'm much better at it now ... :)
And Tay, I can't afford to get Photoshop ... Would love to get it.
