Pave the road in gold,
Like I'm the wizard of oz,
I went in search for hope,
Only to realize a lost cause,

I left my heart in the past,
A path that froze over,
The good was never meant to last,
It's the hate that comes closer,

Drown me amongst morality,
And feed me your rage,
You can never isolate me,
I'm locked inside this cage,

The evil in the world made me,
There's no way to sustain,
Burrowed me into the past,
Praying you could maintain,

This last vision of hope,
A small taste of a victory,
Now our destiny’s interlope,
You'll never get the best of me

I'm the reason for your existence,
You can't run from your sorrow,
No matter your persistence,
I'll still be here tomorrow...
