So for the last 3 months of school I dove into the world of 3D imaging for my final projects, I actually got so absorbed into it that I failed an English class. So not too excited to have to retake it but shit, I learned a ton. Thanks to my old gfx friend Tangster for help here and there. I'm trying to budget a $6000 computer build this summer, because my MacBook Pro isn't ready to be sacrificing itself to these renders. Since High res for me isn't 2000 pixels wide, it's 6000, minimum. When you need to get photo realism, you can't do renders on a laptop and I don't feel like spending $150 on each render by sending it out to a render farm, so that's why I'm building a dedicated rendering computer. As this is definitely going to be a major part of my body of work.

Probably around 50 hours, from shooting to doing all post (not including render time).
Redoing the glass now that I have a better breaking plugin. Been trying to get access to a better smoke plugin as well, because C4D's particles aren't even close to the best.

Need a new computer for renders like these, with complex refractions and reflections, because at this moment my computer isn't physically capable of render an image like this, even at like 2000x2000. It can only spit out this preview render. Same goes with the next image.

As I said before, this is a preview render, at this size it took 4 hours. It's stupidly complex, f I hate my abilities limited by a computer.

Doing a series of 3 or 4 of this type of image, going to be my largest renders ever as they will be printed 5'x2' @ 200 dpi, maybe even taller if I can afford it.
More test for the series.
