Border is horrible, remove it. Work on your contrast, FX and C4D placement. Try to clean up your pieces a bit more as well.

1st
the head didnt blend, lighting is a bit off..nice effects and bg but it looks lq
2nd
the renders chest and groin is oversharpened and overcontrasted thus it makes it cartoonic, the left and right part looks cool but there isnt any flow

yeah man the first one isn't so great. Needs better blending, colours and lighting as well as it looks lq.

The second one has a lot of potential.
It is just terribly oversharpened. Try make it more smooth.
Also try bring out the bubbles a bit
