There is a concept to it. Tried to make the stock work with the lighting. Yes, it has no bright orange or blues. It's more realistic, which I think works well :).

I don't think that's realistic. In reality, would the right side really be that dark? Where's your light source anyway?
Hmm well I think its too much darkness in the sig to feel natural. The girl is standing
outside so wouldn't it be better lit?
Also the glowing swirls in their current form detract for your focal point (the girl)
I think they would work better if they were way more subtle.
The darkness is there so it proves the lighting is correct. Without darkness, how is there lighting?
The concept was that where she is looking is the main lighting area and from there it'll emit.
Obviously on the other side it's going to be dark.
Thanks for the cnc.
Just adding darkness to a stock doesn't make the lighting correct. You have to add light and shadow in relation to the objects in your sig.
Look at stock before you worked on it. Look how the light hits the girl's jacket.
look at the tips of the fur on her hat. Look at where shadows are in relation the the light.
Even looking closely at you current sig you can tell the light source is coming from behind the girl.
So having darkness covering the whole left side of the isn't good use of shadow. Even if you weren't going for "realistic lighting"
Heres a tutorial that can maybe better convey what I'm trying to say.

I think if you are going for a realistic look then some of the light should be on the left side of her face near the edges
Light needs to diffuse better. Reflection aren't strong enough. By darkening much you killed the daylight also. And yeah, not realistic imo.
Definitely isn't realistic and I know realistic lighting. To get something good your going to need to add alooot more detail in lighting with strokes, diffuse and specular. You should also know some of the basics for reflections and light diffuse which I can see you do not know from this pict- i will try to find a tutorial that explains theory, because for realistic lighting you are going to need something more intelligent than a natural sig tut.
