Exquisite Sophication [need help/advice]

If this seems half done its because it is. I feel its more I need to do to make this a good signature. I know what i want to do but I just not sure how to go about it.:confused:

Blending: I really want to blend the render into the sig more (then just with color). But I don't know how I would do that. I'm having a hard time finding a tut on blending techniques that aren't smudging . ( I don't think smudging would be appropriate for this sig). So if someone could link me to a tut or give some advice I would be really grateful.

Foreground: My foregrounds normally concisest of a c4d + gaussian blur or rarely a clipping mask. I was wondering I anyone could give advice or maybe also link me to a tut on some other ways of making foregrounds.

I know I'm asking a lot but I need a little more help then what a one sentence reply could provide. :(
