I always prefer the colored version.

I do like this and I think the lighting is great. But the lighting you have on the left seems a bit washed out so I'd try to add some color there.
The fractals you used are nice but would be better if they were re-sized more so you can the detail in them.

The effect on the right is pretty cool but in my opinion is a bit too strong. I don't know if that's the render or not though :o.

I'd also suggest you remove that yellow semi-circular shape you have because it doesn't really suit the tag as a whole.

b/w version is better, that yellow contrasted circle looks distracting
strong light behind the render looks nice, but u should make it go over the render too, brush over the render or something like that, will look better
, or try adding a flare that might work too.
i dont like centered focals cuz its hard to have a good composition, so yeah u should work on the compo and follow the rule of thirds to place ur render/text
depth is nice, that black effect is kind of messy and not really appealing tbh =/
blending is not bad, could use some sharpen in the render tho :)

I like that I lost less than 2 pints of blood bleeding through my eyes when I saw this.

Ways to fix this is by deleting Photoshop.
