1e; Hate the border, but nice stuff.
2e; I dont like the brushes over the pic.. And the bg are not transparant.., but i like it too.

The second piece i think its really messy and with a very high contrast :S
And the colors of it are really messy to

the first piece is missing some sharpen

argh same avatar as Lee. Now I will actually have to look at the name >.>

Anyway first one..
Lighting seems to be ok except for that one soft brush oh his hair
Makes it look washed out and pretty unnatural
The other lighting that you had done shows that it is coming from behind him not in front XD

Also monotone. Try to get some more colours incorporated to make it look more visually appealing ^.^
Also the bg and the bottom part looks very lq imo

Anyway onto the second one
Like the idea behind it bro but needs some touch ups
First off all get rid of that white box around it.
Those grey splatters I don't like really.
Make it look very messy and the colour is too dull imo
If you are contempt to keep them why not try a clipping mask?
Also you should maybe lower the contrast a bit and not sharpen as much ^.^
Other than that I like the urban feel to it
