Ur colors are off, they make the whole thing look lq... that and uve sharpened too much i think.

The flow on the right handside looks ok,but then on the left it just looks random withou flow. Work on lightin and depth too. I would just leave the text out. kiu

anyway about the tag:
i dont like the colours,and its over sharpened, u should keep the colours natural on this one,
also check some tuts for how to put lightening on :Pit will help u improve!

the colour v is really sharp and the colors dont go well, but the bw is cool if u was to create some depth it would help the tag alot

agree with above comments... also its really messy try using a stock for your b/g instead of creating it from c4ds u will accomplish better tones perhaps when u use all those filters :) also... ur render freaks me out!!! :O hahaha... Good start :) I like b/w version! KIU

Anyway onto the tag
It is very sharp imo. Which results in a lq look
The lighting also needs work, and it is actually also explained in the tut (lighting is a vital part of depth)
Anyway as said above, the colours here really need some work
Don't whore too much with your adjustment layers unless you know what you're doing.
Try setting your gradient maps on soft light on no more than say 40% opacity for now. You should be picking effects that match your render so it helps with the blending and overall visual appeal

Text really needs to go bro
No point in adding text just for the sake of it
Text just gets in the way and is too much hassle imo
I really only use it for gifts and the odd tag.
It just gets in the way of what you need to do, particularly flow
