I would say work on blending techniques. Also On the first one you seem to have so many filters that you messed up the quality... but there are some awesome tutorials out there that can help you to learn how to achieve what is in your mind in your tags... often times its a resource and knowledge issue! So just keep practicing!!!

The first one actually isn't too bad, you just have to work on its major flow of the piece. Blending would be another key as well, colors should be flowing together and not too much half and half how you have it.
The thing that really ruined the piece is the flow and blending man. Read up on some tutorials on here, I'm sure you'll be able to find great ones.
