i think it needs more going on... it feels very empty... i like what you have so far though... great flow! Not sure about text :/ maybe just remove it :D

I like the placement of the soldier, the text could be placed better and changed to be a little darker to blend more.

Now for the effects, it's a great start. You could add in a ton more and make this piece one of your best.
