Hello. [Gimp User]

Hello, I am from Rhode Island, USA. I love playing soccer, and hanging out with my friends. My favorite color is blue; the color of my eyes. I found this website; GFXVoid, by looking for a good place to start in graphics. I am very interested in graphics. I have tried to get into graphics before but I don't know where to start. I use GIMP, as stated in the title (Gimp 2.6). I have no artworks that I would like to show you, because if I showed you them, you would think that I use paint. I would like to get far in graphics, not like get paid or anything, just a hobby that I can say I'm good at. I also REALLY want to create a brush/brushes, to use privatley, by myself, or maybe share with you guys. Also, I would really appreciate if somebody can show me a GIMP 2.6 tutorial on how to start off. (The Basics.) I often get confused when people show me GIMP tutorials that are old. ("old" = Not GIMP 2.6.) I hope I stay here for a while, get to know you guys and make some sexy grefix. :)
