the finger nails are too square.. and theyre not in the right place.
Its alright.. drawing hands is difficult. also.. vary the thickness and opacity of your brush strokes.

Well I don't think this is bad at all. Especially not for a first. I think you need to focus on proportion. Particularly on the little finger. And also, like Lewk said, the fingernails are to square. As far as the colouring goes, I think you're on the right tracks, but again, like Lewk said, you need to vary on the brush sizes so that it blends in with the colouring.
Overall, very good job. Judging by this piece, you're going to be a real good painter.
