I stepped out of my comfort zone and used an anime render

looks nice, a couple small things though, I think you need to brighten up all the colors just a little bit, especially the ones behind her. also I think the black border needs to be less prominent, but I like the render you chose and I like the effects you have added. You are definitely on to something there though! :D

i think the black is because this forum has a white b/g and sometimes things dont look as good on a white b/g :( it looks really clean which i like but i think it needs more blending :D

I think you need some more effects nearer to the book.. so It looks like its more energetic.

Looking good, I've been wanting to make something with that render for ages now but never got to it:)
The effects are really subtle, but the lines are really sharp, perhaps it's wise to tone them down a bit.

@ascheb If he did the black border because the forum is white the white border around the tag itself doesn't make any sense XD

You cant see a white border on a white bg so I put it on a black one anyways I added contrast to the pic

It's cool, try adding some glow to the pentooling and try to add more vibrancy.

definately a little more vibraqncy needed, agreed. :)
