always keep your focal clean and i reccomend you to read a lots of tuts ofc you re getting better and will get better throught experience:D
personally i think the biggest issue with this tag is the quality it looks very LQ, try saving your tags in .png format might help out with that a lil bit
second its quite monotone dont be afraid to throw in some more colors, maybe some green or red would work in this piece :3

Yeah, i havent yet looked at the tuts i just been messing around in gimp cuz i dont have photoshop anymore i just have stuff keep coming back to me as im making somthing
