Here is my first sig for the forum. I did a c4d tut on here, duno what i think of it my result. The only thing different in the two versions is the c4d coming from the gun but im sure you guys know :p

Pretty good, but the blue and yellow thing looks out of place and messes with the flow. 'jdbfx' text is poor.
agree with damien. get rid of the blue/yellow or try adding a different effect. i like the effects on the other side though. :]
Yellow out of place indeed. Also don't make it come out of gun. Make more stuff come to the back of soldier from to the point of gun for more flow
Text. Also, I saw a tutorial for this style somewhere else. Protip, move your render to the left a little more.
The tutorial you followed had a nice idea going, I'm not sure if you followed it correctly or not but it looks good minus all the negative area (Blank spaces). The gun effects should be a bit less brighter and should emit some light onto the render.
