Effects are cool but I'd recommend a source for the lighting present on the focal and that you blend him a bit more, perhaps have some of the smudge go in front of him?
Colours are awesome though:D

Smudge is too sharp, and it all flows in one direction which is a no no. Overall I suggest reading some tutorials on smudging. There is no real shape to your smudge, and the depth is horrible, also smudge tag doesn't man you can leave lighting out of it.
Almost what fork said, u have to add something to it, or its render and some smudge lines in one direction, u have to make a bg from the smudge, and some on the focal, so it would have natural depth and more intresting look.

I aggree with Linda and Fork, but what is more important to me is the blending of the render (which isnt rlly there)
I really like ur smudge, but the flow isn't good, and the render isn't blended well
Blend ur render, and be sure the smudge flows nicely, and you will have a great tagg here m8 ;)
I also wanna say I like the colors you used ;)
