I think this one pretty much fails.
Didn't put in that much effort, because I was out of ideas. Just really wanted to use this render&try something new. I think depth is okay, rest is pretty much meh in my opinion.
Still, C&C is appreciated.

looks like a stock bg with a green layer and u placed render over top erased parts off him then added a flare over the top and then monster in text . well i miss the blur as well. hey bud i think you should read up on some tuts . need work on blending and your lighting and placement of the focal .
its just what i see is all im sure its not how i said it but looks that way . try adding in some c4ds or something else because it looks plain and dull . best of luck in the future tags u make m8 :P -

Definitely read up on some tutorials, you shouldn't even be thinking that hard about depth and stuff yet, just try and learn new things, how to produce effects and use C4Ds, fractals and stock images, adjustments etc. Then when you learn things like that then add the few more things needed for a tag, blurring only goes so far.

Yeah...you asked for CnC and they gave it to you, the depth is horrible btw. I don't think you're getting the whole smudge thing.
