Sorry it just looks pretty much just colour, then the render, then a C4D.
I would have to agree and try and look at some tutorials to help you out.
im starting to think his talent might not be in this type of style he trying for but in vector more .
tho if u continue on this id recommend smudging the bg a bit more with hard round brush and then sticking to your flow and trying soem black c4ds with some lighting . gl m8 .
