Yellow borders take away from the focal, Delete them immediately. It's extremely sharpened. Unsharpen the Focal. I can see where the lighting starts behind the render, but there is no dark or shadows leading me to believe that there actually is no lighting. Try to use the Dodge/Burn tool, it's great for lighting. I do appreciate the fact that you attempted to do something different, and i like the color choices. Keep working, and i guarantee you will get better!
