really simple effect, with a clean and good outcome, thanks for sharing the tut. i always did it differently but its much easier with the quick mask tool.

If I want a more specifik area to not be affected can I just use the lasso or some other marking tool?
No, only gradient :P
Use Radial Gradient for a specific area if you want
Coudln't get the marking thing to work, used google and found a website that does the job very well.
