Agree try and follow some tutorials in the tutoiral section here.

Gonna be honest, as far as CnC goes, the above two posts are some of the most useless I've seen in a while. Saying you don't like a piece, isn't helpful. Why do you not like it?
And telling someone to go look at "tutorials" is of no help. Tutorials for what, and why?

The biggest problem with this tag here, is not that you executed it poorly, it's merely that it's boring. There's not really anything wrong with it, (aside from the text, but I'll get to that later), it's just that there's nothing really going on. Firstly, try playing with more colors. Single colors are just plain boring.
Secondly, try playing with more effects, and tools, to add things of interest to you tag. Give your viewers something to look at!
When doing this, it also helps to think about your composition, so you can give your piece a bit of direction, and flow, to guide the eye around your work.
As for the text, I'd drop the stroke, it doesn't work here at all. The text overall however, feels very unnecessary, and thrown on as an afterthought. If you can't incorporate your text, or work it into your design, then you shouldn't bother with it. Not every piece needs to have text.
