it looks unfinished, but I see where you were going with it, keep adding onto it would be my suggestion, for ms paint that is not bad tho I haven't seen a ms paint digipaint in a while :)
For MS paint that is genius, nicely done
this is the image that won the battle

i wanted to add alot more shading but once i was trying to add definitionto the face i just left it this way. not sure how much i'll add to it.
thanks
Using MS paint for a battle like that is pretty pointless.... it is primarily used for pixel art.
Trying to make sig style stuff in ms paint = no no.
the forum that hosted this battle isn't a gfx forum. it does have a gfx section but this was for anyone at the forum to join in using paint.
overall i say nice job using paint can be really really hard and i think you did a good job and as Domino said you need to keep adding to it it looks unfinished keep workin on it make and post up a finished version for us
ok, i'll give it a go tonight. when i first started it took me awhile to get the body as close to the cover. theni tried sahding the image started with the jersey and then moved to the arms. then i tried to get the face to look right and then tried shading it...as you can see, i just left it as it is the saved and posted it.
Sounds like you might have missed the point of the contest. Sometimes it's fun to see what people can come up with limited resources.
@OP, looks pretty nice, but I think you were attempting to get a little too detailed. That or you should have spent more time on it. I agree with whoever said it looks unfinished, although the bar is set high. MSPaint isn't easy to be creative with. I think maybe if you tried deviating from the original image, maybe blended some of the closer colors, gone for a vector style kind of shading, it wouldn't look quite as unfinished as it seems.
>.> never done vector before, that thought never crossed my mind. i'll give that a shot.
