Moving away from my usual sports related work I thought I would try a grunge car sig to commerate my first car.
This is what I have so far.

Kinda stuck on the font or statement to put on it...
Also not real sure on the look... thought I could use some advice from you guys.

I think you need to choose a different color for the background to accent the cars red color, not blend in like it's doing now.
It needs a border. maybe some text. and either desaturate and blend the car or make a new background. Nice car though.

May play with the desaturation a bit.
As far as a different color, maybe a green based background as they are complimentary colors?
It was my first car bought new in 1979. Took this pic not long after I got it. It was as graduation present.... Dad covered High School and college with that. Bought it at the end of my sophmore year in college and said it was for graduation. :D
Played with it some more. I haven't added a border yet, and I'm not too sure I'm happy with the font/text...

hmm...
blend the car a little more, and color the text. gray is just too flat. oh yeah and a border.
Try putting the text in the bottom right instead in the center right, it'd look a bit better. And try and color the text like the background.
Text help is greatly appreciated... I have more trouble with the text and font than I do brushing, renders... etc...

I would have wanted same car as my first >.< the background is now better as it isnt same color as the car, but I think the text is little too bright for grunge sig
