I'm kind of in the middle about this. The lighting is excellent, but I feel like the render is kind of in your face, what with the size and all. I'd also darken up the lights on the gun and darken or blur the background a bit.

I like how you put the render in a environment and used the background to your advantage. Good stuff.
Although, I feel like, you could have shown more of the background because he covers up most of the canvas.
placement is really good, just make the corners and such a bit darker (burn or brush) and add some FX (bubbles, fractals, nebula's) but not too much
