the BG looks simple and some of the edges of the render look uneven.

yes i should soften some more of the edges on the render... but the bg is probably more then you know how to do... so yeah...

Needs more blending on the render.... also the edges of the squid thing looks pixelated and some other things look weird on it but i want to know how you did that really nice colour/brushing effect on your current sig :D good work on the whole
i really dont like to overblend my renders so that the pic fades into the bg... but i do agree with you on the tentacles of that monster thingy... (the thing that hangs from the ceiling and lets it tongue hang down in half-life) i need to touch up on that
