You should put more flashy effects around it, the background you have is to dull to stand on it's own in my eyes, good start though. I'd say add some more c4d around it or maybe some pen tool work if you're good with it, and some smudge effects to be a little more specific for you.
I like it but it needs more intense lighting and maybe a fractal or two to brighten it up. I love how you put the render on top of the smudge though it looks well placed.
