First in a LONG time

Haven't done much in a long time. Just got CS6 and threw this together. What are the opinions?

Hm, well the contrast is way too extreme, and does not really fit. Like one part is way too bright then the rest of the work is really dark. Just try and make it less extreme and just more gradual. Also, tone down the light source. It is way too bright and does not fit in at all. The light source is also a little big. A light source does not have to be that bright/big to add contrast. Another thing, the smudging on the sides looks really rushed and not very clean. It looks like you tried to do blending with the smudging, but it did not work out so well. I would just try and make the piece smaller, so you do not have to blend as much. And this will also make it so you can focus on more smaller details then just doing a giant piece. You also need some more to this work. For me as a whole it looks very rushed and very unfinished. The only things I can really see are: the light source, the blending/smudging, and a few filters to it. I would look for c4d's or just other renders to work with and add that extra detail to it.

Yeah thanks for the feedback. I haven't touched photoshop in about 2 years, so I'm pretty rusty. All of my resources are gone too. I'll probably take a look at doing a smaller piece next time too.
