Critique Please!

Gentleman, please provide your honest opinions of my two sigs below. i experimented with 2 different techniques.

The first one looks really weird, the render is very LQ.

The second one is much better, I like all the small particles and effects around, although you should have use some blur to make a good depth.

Well it's clearly going to be the second one. The first is blurred so much it feels like I need to be wearing glasses.
