maybe just use the eraser tool with a opacity of maybe...10-25 on the left side of the text. and i;'m thinking the smudge effects behind the dudes head looks to be uneeded. possibly add more contrast to the left side wing area.

Yeah the smudge behind his hood was added a little later, I wanted to add something in there but I couldn't decide on what.
