Background it's too empty. The render and front smudge really stand out a lot because of it. It also doesn't really have that much depth as it's mostly black. If you're gonna make a tag that wide, it's needs to be filled more. Text is ok. Placement could be better. And finally to end on a positive note the smudge is pretty good. Keep working at it :) I also quit GFX for a while and even though I still knew how it's supposed to be, I found it really hard to actually do it. I still do and the only way to fix it is to keep making stuff.

I like the emptiness of it sometimes it helps to add to a "dark" feel. Maybe a bit more sharpness on the face.
I like emptiness too, but here to little is going on, as provided says.
nice smudging. add some effects, (fractals maybe??) and if needed crop.
