I like the effects on the first one, though I think a bit much is hapening. You can tune them down. Lightning on the other hand is all over the house (then again I'm not a big fan of lightning) work on it too. Text is bad, use some text (minimalist) brushes for aesthetics.
The other one spooked me at first :D
I would say that he, like the other one, has a nice flow effects are ok, light again too much, text is better but still needs work.
