What do you think the best FPS game is?
I think counterstrike is the best, mainly beacuse there so much room for improvment. With other games, you can get only so good - counterstrike, I feel, it's pretty much unlimited.

I hate counter-strike the gameplay sucks. I like Halo 2, Quake 4, ut 2004, and I think Perfect Dark Zero will pretty good (i haven't played it yet)
So BFG i guess you are a bit of an Xbox liker? I think Halo 2 is great, quake 4 is awesome and Call Of Duty 2 is stupidley good (for PC and Xbox360). But the best FPS of all time has to be Doom (the origional) because was the first great FPS and kickstarted the whole thing. Plus the Doom movie is awesome.
depends, online then Counter-Strike and the worst online HAS to be Halo2 it just sucks really bad.
Single player has to be half-life one because i aint played 2 yet

I'd say:
1.) Unreal Tournament (original)
2.) Perfect Dark
3.) Timesplitters 2
UNreal Tournament is too fast, your basically walking around shooting the "walls" and people walk into your bullets.. its rather funny.
I have to give it to Counter Strike, i like to think throught the moves and always have the surprise factor change.. its very good if you get good at it *cough*me*cough*

First FPS I ever played online, loved it. Nice fast pace, flexible...

Next would be Half Life or Half Life 2
Unreal Tournament comes close, I've played countless mods for it U4E ahahaha
I've only ever realy liked RTCW and unreal tournement 04.
Id say... Call of Duty 2
although they have taken alot out (so they can make money from an expansion) some of the ideas and levels are amazing.

I agree with taco...People are always getting better at CS. I also like playing 5v5 with teams rather than playing in some public server.
It might be the one that kickstarted the whole FPS thing, and without it there wouldnt be any others but that doesnt mean its the best.Quote:

I havnt played many of thsoe games but ive play CS for about 2 years and i played Halo and play halo 2 a lot. IMO CS blows Halo out of the water.
Halo 2 is the shit, and will always be my favorite game.
I hate call of duty, no system link, WTF?!
Also quake 4 rules. I hate CS.
how long have you tried to play CS? I havnt come across a person that has disliked it.

RTCW, i loved it then lost it :( I loved the online SO much, it was great.

haha i've always wanted that to happen, someone notices me online.. it's only ever happened on msn when i leave my addres on forums which isn't much of a coincidence or a suprise on both counterparts so it sucks .. :D :lol:
hahaha its sort of happened to me in DoD like 4 years ago.
Me and this guy were owning guys in seg3 and we got along and stuff, and then it turned out he went to my school and was in my gym class the next year.
I'd Say CS is the best, I love the CS:S graphics but I hate the gameplay.
RTCW would also have to be at the top of my list, I really like that gameplay and the roleplaying plus suspense. Ahaha I almost fell off my chair playing that one night.. I wont tell you the story.
Wolfenstein 3D, I don't know why, but I love it.
Enemy Territory! And it's free too... it was being designed as an expansion for Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but the project lost funding so the team working on it tied up all the loose ends and released it to the public. I'm pretty sure you don't need RTCW to play it, so there's absolutely no reason for you guys to not try it out!

The best fps would be Battlefield 2 (PC) I guess... Lot's of unlockable weapons and gameplay is really good...

It happened to me lateley... Pleymo created a new website (roosendaal gaming) and I said I was going to college there, and he is 2 :lol: At the same school!
I'm a Rainbow Six 3 veteran for over 3 years running... I love the game but it gets repetitive.. I think it's the best one I've played.. well, for online.
CounterStrike: Source comes at a close second for me.. great action and such.. I love it. Gun buying concept is new, but you get the hang of it.
Doom 3 scared the living hell out of me.. but I loved it so.
Half-Life 2's pretty damn fun.
Battlefield 2's pretty cool as well.. oh well.
Come Feb. 8th.. mine'll change to Rainbow Six: Lockdown for PC.

Kidd, whats servers you play on?
I mostly play Htf and Ctf.. Ctf on the GoW servers (if youve seen em) and Htf on.. well whatever there is, its a custom gametype so.. usually WR rifles only..
i have to agree with most of you that cs does siuk. For me my favorite would have to be call of duty 2 and F.E.A.R. Surprised no one mentioned fear... i play pc so i don't follow all the xbox games ne more...
