It should be pretty cool. ^_^ I just read acouple reviews and stuff about it. Sounds pretty interesting. Not sure about the movement thing though. I mean it sounds really cool much like the rev but I want to know how well it will play. =/
Really looking forward to it though. PS3 is the only system I intend to buy so I can't wait for it to get realsed in Nov.
It looks cool but I don't think that would work for most games, just for specialized games.

Its basically a ploy to draw people away from the nintendo wii, that has two freehand controllers. the only downfall to this controller is that it has sonys own dualshock (what makes the controller vibrate) system which isnt expected to be extremley good, and the controller only has 6 degrees of movement, so it isnt exactly freehand.

Yeah I just watched it a awhile ago. It looks great. ^_^ I'm sitting here watching videos for the PS3 and Wii...god I can't wait for either of these systems. I wasn't sure until today but I'm going to buy both of them I think. I mean its going to take me a year to be able to afford either...but I'll own them both.
Also yes the PS3 is going to stomp the X-box 360 again. I think the Wii will probably do better this time around too or it better atleast.

i think it is just a weebit premature to be saying the ps3 will "own" the 360. I personally love my 360, always will, and will even more when halo 3, mass effect, gears of war, fable 2, jade empire 2, kotor 3, ghost recon 4, splinter cell: Double Agent, Madden 07, Dark Sector, Table Tennis, Grand Theft Auto IV, Saint's Row, and Final Fantasy come out.
Fact is, no one can predict the ps3's performance vs the 360 until it comes out. Even if the public reacts to the ps3 better than it did the 360, it doesn't mean the ps3 is necessarily a better system, which technically it isn't, but that sony has a better hold over the public than microsoft does.
as for the controller, meh, i've always liked the xbox and 360's controller.
Yeah I want to play acouple of those games aswell but most will be put on the PC and/or PS3 aswell.
My big point about why I want a PS3 or Wii is because they are putting out some new game titles and trying new things like the Wii's controller for example and not just saying "Hey buy this system for 400 bucks, its the same as the last one but its prettier looking and thats all that matters." Sony and Nintendo have put time into their systems and try to make a quality product.
To be honest if the Wii doesn't due well after it comes out I'm going to be pissed. Out of the 3 systems it has the potential to be hands down the best. Even if the graphics aren't as good as the other 2 systems in the end graphics don't mean shit, its about game play which only afew people seem to remember anymore.

i dunno i quite enjoy the games i play, and i know i will enjoy the titles i mentioned, so there really is no reason for me to take the wii or ps3 over the 360
Yeah and thats all that really matters in the end. In all truth the difference between the Xbox and the PS3 is slight and is just more of your taste in games. Like I love RPG's and if the PS3 stays with the same styles as the last 2 systems that would be the system for me. Like the 2 final fantasy games. Though really it doesn't matter much.

well personally, i like xbox's rpgs more than the ps2's and i will like the 360's more than the ps3..
i prefer the rpgs like KOTOR 1 and 2, Jade empire, Fable, Oblivion rather than the final fantasies and some others the ps2 and ps3 will have

Yeah but all of those games are also on the Computer so I really wouldn't need to buy a X-box to play them. =) I never saw the point in buying the system for abunch of games I could play already. I'm sure most of the Xbox 360 games will be on the PC aswell.
Most of the Playstation RPG's are only on that platform though so If I don't own the system I can't play them. Also overall I like the games on the PS2 and alot of the games they have listed for the PS3 better then anything I've seen on the X-box or Xbox 360. Which the only games I've wanted for it is pretty much the ones you listed and afew others that are on the PC aswell.
Like I said its a matter of taste either way.
My brother got the 360, and its a really great system too. Ill only be getting a PS3 when SOCOM 4 is announced for it though, unless S4 gets announced i dont know if ill get one. I do like the new feature on the PS3 controller though.

They aren't really stealing the FF series. From what I read they get FF 11 and thats it. Mostly because FF11 was a massive let down and a good fit for the Xbox due to the fact the XBox is better when it comes to online play. Instead the guy is just heading up the group that is making the Dragon something game. Which sounds like it could be cool.
Also lossing the exclusive rights for the GTA series isn't that big of a deal or atleast the starting rights to it had with GTA 3. I mean it might hurt the PlayStation abit but IMO its the PlayStations Halo in the sense it was an okay game that way way to much attention. Alot of the games that came after it with a simliar idea was better anyways.
it is the game developer's choice, they sign different contracts. they saw there was money in the xbox and 360, so they signed with them. mk.
also, ya ck a lot of the games i like on the 360 are on pc as well, jade empire's not, but a lot of them aren't as good as they are on the 360.. example: ghost recon 3, excellent on 360, bad on pc, ps2, and xbox.

i agree with a lot of what was said. i like the ps3 and think it will be a great system, but i prefer the 360 because it has great shooters which i enjoy the most and the best online service, which is pretty much all i play. heck, the only time i play the single player on games is when my cable goes out, which isnt too often.
The controller is pretty cool. Although, the original design was not that bad. I am also going to get a PS3 ($599), I just can't wait to get it at launch and the game "Resistance".

Its 500 dollars for a 20gb harddrive and 600 for a 60gb harddrive.
Also the basic net is free though there is content and things like that you can buy. I was reading last night they are going to put out a pack that lets you play 6 of the biggest onlines games Everquest 2, Starwars Galaxies, and 4 or 5 others for 25 bucks amonth. Which would be pretty cool IMO. Much better then paying the 60 or 70 bucks it would cost for months payments on the games atleast.

@Zeek- Yeah it is kind of lame they did it right before E3 just to get a feature to match the Wii. =/ Though in all truth I guess I'm glad they did it. Your right about the mulitplayer on Halo it is pretty fun and like I said I don't really dislike the game. It was fun enough. The graphics was pretty good and the story line though abit generic was okay. I mean really it could of be plucked from any sci book but still it was okay. My problem isn't with the game itself like I said I just really get bugged by some of the fan boys not all of course. Alot of them have this if you don't like Halo your not a gamer dickhead type air around them. That pisses me off. I mean so many other games on the Xbox or the PS hell the old sega systems had so much better first person shoots but they seemed to be fogged over by this one fun but really generic and as single player goes uninventive title and it just bugs me abit. Also when I use fanboy I don't mean all people that play Halo...just the ones that think the game is perfect and soooo great like the kids I went to school with.
Also for the graphics on the PS3 they look just as good as the Xbox 360. I would say that though the PS3 has more power it doesn't really matter. From what I have seen they are pretty equal.
Also yes the Dreamcast and the Saturn are still two of the best systems around. The Saturn had some of the funnest games I've ever played. Clockwork knight, Bug which is one of the best classic 3d plateforms I've played, Nights into Dreams the first US realsed game where you had to use a joystick to move besides the really old game systems it did it before the Playstation and the N64 by a year or more, Myst was even realsed on, Tomb rader was realsed on it before the Playstation. I mean if you want to talk about a great system that didn't sell this would be it. I loved it. It was the rivial to the orignal Playstation and the N64 and was slutered by it because Sega fucking sucked at PR. Also yes I'm very bored..so thats the only real reason to rant about that. >_<...to sum up...Sega was god and they need to make a new Bug game.

3. if you don't believe ghost recon 3, oblivion, fight night round 3, and project gotham 3 aren't next gen, you need to be slapped.

Nether system really sucks. The PS3 is going to have more hardware, the game quality I guess depends on the person though for myself I like them better. I"m really looking forward to afew of the titles personally. 360 will most likely have a better online though I"m sure.
Still say the Wii will have the best games overall though.
