Ok..first off..I think it would be physically possible if given some thought

1. The ark was not a small boat..it was around 200 yards long+

2. The wood could last 2000 years because..if not..it probably wouldn't last a flood that wiped away the earth over a 40 day/40 night period...

3. 2000 years ago..there weren't as many species of animals around back then as you might think...over time they developed..just like a human does..it is born..then it can change over a period of time...So it would be possible to fit 2 species of animals on an ark that was over 200 yards long..

4. Noah took a period 120 years (I think) to build the his Ark..I believe if you took that much time to build anything you would want it to be perfect and stable now wouldn't you?..

1. All of the species in the world still couldn't fit in 200 yards

2. Wood can soruvive a flood, especially if it is a boat. The "flood" (that never happened) made the world essentially one big ocean, no? Boats are made for oceans. It would still erode, no wood lasts 2000 years.

3.Evolution and species creation happens over millions of years. The same species that are around today existed back then.

4. We are not talking about stabability. You could spend 120 years on a house, for example. Visit the house 2000+ years later, you will find a pile of mold, if anything.

5. Not a compelling argument.

It is possible for a boat to survive that long. However, the condition would be very poor. The situation i beleive, would be in the sea or ocean. The boat is at the bottom, and it collecting algae and grime. This helps keep the wood underneath ina relatively new condition ( for 2000 years old anyways.. ) and stops it collapsing.. But i don't think you'd ever be able to find it becuase it'd be buried under so much stuff that it'd be impossible.

I glanced at the link Ellusionist posted and it said it was found on top of a mountain..so my guess is after the flood was over the boat landed on on a large moutain/plateau and after 2000 years it would have eroded to what a moutain could be today... makes sense to me!

whoa, dude! your logic is reminescent of a 4 year olds! even the titanic eroded would not be the size of a mountain. ellusionist said it is the tallest mountain in Turkey. No ship could erode to the size of a mountain. Besides, they said they found on the mountain, not as one.
