I heard the PS3 is going to be postponed for awhile.
It's coming out December 2006 in Australia (i think).
They have a plan to stop piracy. If you open your PS3, (or Xbox 360 i think), you lose it. It will not work. And you cannot get it repaired because it voids with the warranty. So basically, you lose your PS3 or Xbox 360.
I think the software sony tried to encode was considered illegal. They used it on some of the records they put out by some artists. I forget what it was called though.

personally i think the Xbox 360 is ganna eat the ps3's ****in ass man cause look.... the ps2 came out almost a year and a half before the X-box came out and now the the x-box 360 came out before the ps3...seems a tad bit rushed to me... and the Xbox 360 is not flawless and therefore allows the PS3 makers to learn from the X-box mistakes that microsoft people had made.... also take in that the ps3 might also have more add-ons then the x-box 360 seeing the 360 came out first the sony people may try to out-do their compeditors...i guess we'll see in a year or two when the PS3 comes out......
Theres a problem in your logic... Even if the ps3 is better than the xbox, the extra year or so will allow xbox to get every buyer, and by the time ps3 comes out, they'll have sold more xbox 360s than they would have if they ps3 came out at the same time. Sure, ps3 will probably get more buyers, but so will xbox, AND xbox has more time to prepare the 'next generation' (yay ... ) of xbox they will have the market to themselves once again, beating ps3 to the punch.
PS3 will always be the dominant force in platform games. The hardcore gamers will buy both systems regardless of which comes out first or the specs. Most parents will gravitate towards Playstation because it's the name they hear all the kids saying and the more popular system.
impossible to say until it comes out. unfortunately, it's prolly true, and a lot of people are going to miss out on the 360 and settle for the ps3.Quote:
