Rain Animation Tutorial

i am new at animation and i understood this and i also added my own bit in :P have a look

I been using this tut since it was posted but now im on CS3 and the motion blurs arent coming out differently they always look the same. BIG problem, im gonna try it on my CS2 on another PC but i think something got changed in 3 =(

EDIT* As i suspected, the noise and blurs are random on CS2 but not on CS3, there has to be a way of making them randomize right? Someone help me out here i really dont want to use CS2 just for a rain effect =S
