I agree, not sure how do 3dify it though. was considering adding a glow but it might just make it look stupid. Bottom bit sucks so I edited it and it looks better on my DA. I haven't re-uploaded it yet, I replaced the energy ball with a energy beam.

hmm there must be something like a target spot in c4d, turn on volume light with some noise texture. That should work fine for the beam, than maybe add some cloud/noise brushing in PS. dunno never worked with C4D
