well i like it you dont see stuff like this much. Like the second one more but dislike the brushing on it.

on the second one, i would say desaturate the eye to make it look more as if it were being drawn, since that is a pencil in the guys hand.

but i like the bg of the first better to tell the truth, as well as the text.
