mere speculation, i've had an iPod for a week when thewy came out and it broke straight away so i got money back...
i don't bash it because it's popular i ranted because i know for my experience it sucked... the sound quality has proven worse, and the fact that many people hardly use the iPod picture one for it's full usage i see no point in buying something where i will not sue those extra functions when i can buy something cheaper which has all i need.
mine was a hell of alot cheaper than the iPod colour, and why would people want to put pictures on it? so they can show pictures to friends? why? everyone is going digital and they fuck it like it's a new idea it does piss me off that people use it for some social status.. and that they completely undermine the stupidity of it's "fan-boy" following, but that's balanced out by my factual evidence iPod compared to my sleek, suck in comparison as for the video iPod practical for long journies? but then why is it made for everyday use? i could yet again pay more for something i don't need? i think not...
yeah sometimes you get bored on the bus or the train but more often than not flaunting your goods in public such as an iPod is not particularly a wise thing to do, it's only safely usable sitting down or standing still .. anyone walking about watching a movie is fucking retarded unless they're in a desert .. but then again i guess i'd want people who walk around watching one of those things to smack their head on a lamp post because it probably wouldn't hurt them their mentality for such device usage shouldn't cause much default in their brain there isn't much there to loose in the first place.
..some features are practical but to be named for every day use and quite obviously retarded, not all the features are used to their full potential on an "every day use" so why should i play more for soemthing i don't need nor is practical in any way? and it's true most people buy it as a fashion statement and only a few buy them because it's an option which they'd like to explore, heck even i did that .. but it failed ... apple ruined my childhood...<_<
Oh and also, if you look at alot of the creative products, apple are realising their new stuff afetr them... the creative video is amazing, as well as most of their products.
However, i have seen the new video ipod, and my friend got one for £140, but if you think about it, its just a way for itunes to make more money, no one has videos on their computer... so they gota dl them, either of torrents or p2p or itunes, so that also increases the amount of dling theft
